Our dive instruction includes classroom and in-water instruction required to earn your

use of scuba cylinders, regulator/octopus, wetsuit, hood, gloves,
booties, gauges, weight belt, weight harness, weights, lights,
wreck reels, bailout bottles, lift bags, safety sausage, air or Nitrox
depending on the dive training you are taking so you do not need to worry about dive
equipment when going for your training and certification.

At Scuba Made Easy we proudly offer NAUI Scuba certifications for
all of our recreational and leadership training programs. The National
Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) is one of the oldest and most
respected training agencies worldwide. NAUI was formed by the SCUBA diving
pioneers in 1959. Today NAUI Instructors
hold the best quality and safety requirements in Industry. NAUI certified divers are respected as some of the best
trained and most qualified. You will carry your NAUI diver certification card
with pride!

Handicap Scuba Association International (HSA) certifications for people with
adaptive SCUBA needs.

We offer Scuba training that meet the academic
requirements of the University or College you are attending so you can get
college credits for your SCUBA classes.
Adaptive SCUBA Training for Divers with Adaptive Needs.
We are trained through Handicap Scuba
Association International and National Association of Divers with Disabilities,
volunteer with organizations providing aquatic adventures with people with
adaptive needs. Groups have included
Wounded Warrior Program, Disabled Sports USA, Military Para-Olympics and local
people with injuries requiring adaptive methods in teaching.
Emergency Response Service (EMS), Police, Fire Department,
and Ambulance (EMS) personnel.
We have
over 10 years experience training people in EMS and providing combined advanced
and rescue training packages that integrates your agencies own recovery gear
within the academic and in water training.
Women in Diving.
With
over 30-years SCUBA instruction experience as a Course Director/Instructor I have the
academic and in water experience to adapt dive training to meet women’s needs. In fact, I pride myself as having the highest
number of women students in Rhode Island.
I was on the NAUI Board of Directors through 2011 which
upholds quality International SCUBA standards, policies and procedures for NAUI
as well as maintaining the highest safety program within the Industry.
I was indoctrinated as a member with the Women Divers Hall
of Fame (www.wdhof.org) which is an international non-profit professional honor
society whose member contributions span a wide variety of fields including: The
Arts, Science, Medicine, Sports, Exploration, Marine Archeology, Media,
Service, Dive Training and Education, Safety, Business, Marine Environment and
Conservation, Free Diving, Commercial Diving, and Military Diving.
In addition to volunteering for the Women Divers Hall of
Fame Scholarships, I also sponsor on a yearly basis, two scholarships for
women:
Scuba Made Easy Training Grant
A $1,000 training grant ($500 for training/$500 for dive
equipment) will be awarded to a deserving woman diver of any age, working in
the areas of marine science, oceanography or ocean engineering. The training
grant is intended to be used for the purpose of continuing diver education and training
and is open to candidates worldwide.
Elizabeth Greenhalgh Scholarship
A $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a woman diver who is
furthering her education beyond high school in the field of journalism, graphic
arts, or photography to better serve the ocean environment or ocean community.
The scholarship is intended to assist with college tuition/fees or may be used
to support an internship program at an accredited university.
